Yosemite National Park Announces Public Meetings and Site Visits for the Tenaya Lake Plan
Yosemite National Park announces a public meeting for the Tenaya Lake Plan.  The meeting will take place on July 10, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Yosemite Valley Auditorium behind the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. Park staff will discuss the Tenaya Lake Plan including alternative actions, proposed resource restoration and protected sites, and proposed visitor facility changes.

The public meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the Tenaya Lake Plan. It is also used as an opportunity for the park to hear concerns and comments regarding the planning effort and alternative actions of the plan.

Visitors wishing to learn more about the Tenaya Lake Plan can also attend two upcoming site visits at Tenaya Lake.  Visitors should plan to meet at the main beach at the east end parking area of Tenaya Lake.  Participants should bring water, snacks, and comfortable shoes to walk in. Site visits are planned on:

Wednesday, August 11 at 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 28 at 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Tenaya Lake Plan will be released for public review in late summer of 2010.
