Yosemite Valley
Today: Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west between 6 and 9
mph.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 56. North northwest wind between 7 and 10

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 95. East northeast wind 6 to 10 mph
becoming south southwest.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. West wind 6 to 8 mph

El Portal

Park News
Please be advised that the Contracting Office will be closed to visitors
every Wednesday, starting July 1st, for administrative contracting
operations. The closure is in effect through the end of FY09.

Community Events Happening This Weekend
The Mariposa Symphony Orchestra will perform in the beautiful Mariposa
County Park Amphitheatre to celebrate Independence Day! The performance
will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 27th. Advance ticket purchase will
be available at the Mariposa County Arts Council. $6 adults and $4 youth.

Sixth Street Cinema: June 27-28 (Friday-Saturday) 7:30 p.m.: WALTZ WITH
BASHIR. This 2008 animated documentary-style film was screened at the 2008
Cannes Film Festival, then went on to win a Golden Globe for best Foreign
Film, and Best Picture of 2008, by the National Society of Film Critics.
Waltz with Bashir focuses on Ari Folman whose recurring nightmare forces
him to surreally remember his experiences during the Lebanon War in the
1980s. To recover these lost memories he meets with old friends, from all
parts of the world, hoping they can help shine some light on this missing
piece of his life. (In Hebrew with English subtitles. Rated R. 87 minutes.)
